Too long.....

Hello everyone,

It is way too long since I've posted here, I am deeply ashamed!

Meanwhile I, despite all the bustle of work, housework and volunteer work, family etc, still a bit done to the hobby.

I want to show you my recent work;

farm outside laundry

The farm is almost finished, there are still some chickens, rabbits and plants and weeds to be added.

But this is a growing-project,

that means that even more will be built,

so this part will be continued!

Hello everyone,

At first thank you for all of your comments and best wishes.

So nice to read them,they gave me a warm feeling;-)

Thank you for that!

The surgery is now two weeks behind me and i should have some improvement,

but unfortunately I still have the same symptoms as before surgery.

The first three nights afther the surgery i did'nt sleep at all,

now i can sleep again hurrayyyyyy!

So i can't do much ,i have no strength in my hand and the tinglings in my fingers are still there

i've got no feeling in my fingers and the are so cold that it feels if they are frozen.

Past Thursday are the stitches removed,i'm very glad with it because they were too tight!

I don't use painkillers anymore,

Tomorrow i have to go to the hospital for a check up,and i hope that the docter can help me if anything else can be done to get some improvement.

I saw on different blog's of yours some beautiful Christmas items.

i still can't make mini's at the moment,but i have some pictures that i havend shared here,

so i will place them now.

These are 2 Christmas-corners (1:144) that i made a few years ago for a contest,

i have won the thirt-prize whit them!

i was my first contest ever.

It's been a while that i have blogged here.

But i've told you before that i have a problem on my right-hand and arm.

Well today i have surgery on my hand and arm...
at Dutch time 09.20 i'm going to the operating theatre.....

So the next weeks i can't do anything with it ,

i have to wait till my docter says that i may use my hand again.

Untill that time i can't blog for a while.

I'll hope that i see you all soon again in blogland!

Visit from dollhouse friends

Last Wednesday I had three dollhouse girlfriends visiting me.

They had to travel for 3 houres by car to get here!

It was very nice and we've had much fun together.

I get a very nice present for my dollhouse;

and inside this beautiful shoppingbag on wheels

was still a lunchbox and thermos too!

With hotdogs in the lunchbox...... yammieeeeee!

Thank you Marlies,i love it!

Marlies have made these because i allway take a real shoppingbag on wheels with me

when i'm going to a dollhouse Exhibition (LOL)

The last time i went to an exhibition,my daughter filled a very large luchbox full with delicious

sandwiches but to much for me allone.

And so am I now, by the ladies of the Dutch forum, frequently plagued with my lunch box full of delicious sandwiches(LOL)

So that's why Marlies came to the idea to make this for me hahahahaa!

I'm very excited to get these beautiful gifts....

We've made some silk-roses and straw-hats,

had coffee with a strawberry-pie

a nice lunch and in the afthernoon a high tea(also with coffe and lemonade)

unfortunately i do'nt have any picture of what the ladies have made here,

but i do have a picture of mine;-)

the pink hat is decorated with silk roses that I made them myself

A brown hat with lace and feathers

And a terracotta hat with feathers and silk-bows

And then the ladies has to go home.....

time flies when you have fun!

But soon enough i will go visit the ladies too.

The postman ringed at my doorbel today!

He's got a huge packet for me.....

oooooh what sould be in i ask myself.

Well these beautifull swaps from 2 ladies from the swap-forum wich i join.

Color choises....

I have to make a color choise for the Country cottage

that i want to make in de 'new'and clean dollhouse.

But that so hard...i don't know wich color to choose.

The cottage is now still white at all,

and i've purchased the windows and a frontdoor that i wanted to paint.

Maybe you can help me out!

i've got here some pictures from a cottage for inspiration

I love this style and the colors at the inside of the cottage.

But at the outside it's a very different house with mine.

So that's why i'm having difficults to choose colors....

and this the house i wanted to change into a country cottage:

I've placed the windows and the frontdoor so you can see them.

there missing 2 windows but the're in order and

i got this morning a thelephone that i can pick them up tomorrow.

So know that why i have to make a color choise;-)

I'm Back!

Hello dear readers,

After a while been absent, I am back again!

Not because I did not want to tinker, but because I could not because I was tinkering with an injection in my wrist my hand have gotten to the pain in my hand and arm reduction.

Unfortunately, during the injection of putting something went wrong and therefore I could not do anything and I just had a lot more pain.

It felt like if the skin was burned and i could yet pick up a teaspoon.

Now it's becoming a little better and now I again tried to make some miniatures,

miraculously i could managed that yet!

So last weekend I've been busy and yet i want to show you what i've made;

At first i finished my emboider pillow

after that i've made a little bear with a wind-mill in his hands but

i gave the bear to my neighbour and forget to make a photo of it!

but next time i visit my neighbour i will ask her to make a photo so i can show it here;-)

Today i have made a wedding-hat ;

Then i have made this pink hat for a bridesmaid;

At last i have made two storage baskets;

And i have notished that i have allready passed the 250 followers!!!

A day with my friend in Rotterdam

The 27e of juni i went for a day to my friend Emma who live in the city of Rotterdam.

I went by train and the trip would take 3 hours and 20 minutes....

Only just before the city of Gouda the train suddenly braked hard and then stopped..

What appeared to be the case......
OMG, there was someone jumped in front of the train!

we've stould there over 2 houres before the train go further to Rotterdam.

Finally arrived in Rotterdam,

Emma has already waiting two houres for me at the station.

At her home we have a lunch at first and then we gave each other gifts.

This is what i made for Emma

Yes i'm so proud that i can embroider by my self now :-)

I like it very much!

It's going be a pillow for the brocante villa;-)

Emma her son brougt me with his car back home.

Hat-box and roof-tiles....

Tonight i had a online workshop at the Dutch Doll House forum.

We've made a hat-box,aldough my hand and arm hurts i've finshed my hat-box!

My hat box isn't that beautiful ,but for the first time i'm satisfied;-)

this afthernoon i started to make roof-tiles for the cleaned doll house.

i have to make lots and lots more of those roof-tiles!

I think i will make a country cottage in it...

Yessss,the dirty work is done!

I'm so glad that the dirty work is over.

I have a chisel used to first remove all the coarse surface layer,

Then I sanded the whole thing and I put wet towels in boiling water with vinegar on the dirty spots

made out to loosen things.

Then I could so easily remove the dirt.

Then I let everything dry and sanded again and again in the primer gezet.
The house smells no longer at cats-poo but at fresh primer .... and it smells so much better;-)

It looks brand new by now:-))

A 'new 'dollhouse!

Tonight my hubbie and i were visiting our oldest son.

A few years a go i've asked my friends husband to build a doll house for his birthday.

I had a picture of how the doll house i wanted for him,and just the way i wanted to be the doll house is build.

My son loves the doll house very much,but he's got no money to finish the doll house.

So his cats has used the doll house to play in it(LOL)

But they have also do some damage at the doll house....

So my son has decited to gif the doll house back to me!

So tonight we took it to our home.

I must say that i must clean it first....

The cats have used it as a toilet...so it smell not so good:-(

yakkkkk,a very unpleasend work is waiting for me to do.

I'll hope i can get it clean and odor free.

So if anyone has a good tip to get this al cleaned up,please leave a comment!

Bistro set

In the past few days I have been busy making a bistro set,

as far as my arm that allowed.

Especially cutting and sanding was very painful,but i can't just sitting and do nothing.
So its during a little bit longer than usual to finishing. But the Dutch saying goes thus: honesty is the best ;-)

At work I get it busier in the coming period, because I've got a few new clients there.

Unfortunately I like less time left to be busy making miniatures.

Then my daughter a few days' birthday, then she is 17 Already ... time flies.

So there's gone be a birthday party this weekend, and i have to make some birthday cakes at saturday.

So next week i will be very busy....

I'm still here

Hello,

It's very quiet on my side ... sorry for that!

That's because I'm a burden bursitis in my right shoulder and strained muscles in my forearm.

For me that is quite bales because I'm right handed and therefore I do almost everything with my right hand and arm!

So I have dosed tinkering, so once the pain I am sorry to stop momentum.

But even though I did get some crafting made recently.

These shoe's i have made on a online workshop
on the Dutch Dollhouse forum,thy are made from real leather.
They stand on a 10 eurocent coin.

This is for a doll of 6 cm!

I'll hope my arm and shoulder wil be better very soon,

Chairs for the Brocante Villa

tonight i've been busy with some chairs witch i've both on a dollhouse fair.

I have given it some new paint and a new fabric.

The right seat as I bought two chairs,

Platycerium bifurcatum or stag horn fern

The stag horn fern (Platycerium bifurcatum) is an exit from the eikvarenfamilie (Polypodiaceae). The plant is native to Australia, where it grows as an epiphyte on trees.

The plant has two types of leaves: sterile and fertile. The sterile sheath recess or leaves are wide and round and support the drooping leaves fertile. They are often overlapping on the branch on which the fern grows. These sterile leaves slowly rot to form humus which the roots of the fern foraging. The fertile leaves are cut and shaped antlers (hence the name Dutch). They have boxes at the bottom track. The fertile leaves are much longer than the sterile leaves. To reduce evaporation and humidity to take this sheet coated with a layer of gray-felted.

In warmer climates, the plant in nature. In Europe, the plant used as a houseplant, the popularity changes. The stag horn fern grows best on a piece of bark or peat blocks. The pot is then filled around it with special ground for ferns or moss. It is best to hear the deer fern lime free water use (rain). The magazine should be regularly dusted with water, water is best achieved by immersion. Pieces of rotting peat or composted manure between the sterile leaves push stimulates the growth of new leaves. The plant is propagated by suckers to hoard. The plant is susceptible to aphids. Infestation by lice is more recognizable sticky leaves.

Lathyrus and a hydrangea wreath

butterfly bush

Yesterday i've made a butterfly bush.

It was very nice making one,and it has 'real' butterfly's !

The butterfly bush grows in many different colors and can grow out to a very big bush.

It's a very nice plant for in the garden and it smell's good too.

Look at these photo's;

It's a beautifull bush in the garden and if you want many butterfly's in you garden

then you must plant a butterfly bush in it;-)

Mine is not so big because it's on scale (LOL)

A new plant for the flower roombox

Today i was visiting my friend Annet

and have made a flowerpot with an hydranggea in it;

The flowerpot is made of:

a christmasbel,some pieces of a beercan,2 flowerbeads,

a button and a nail,glue and paint

a hydrangea flower...

put it all together and you get this:

9mine is brokenwhite with pink and Annet has made it in silver with black)

roomboxes....

Last week i've started making 2 roomboxes,

one roombox becomes a weddingbox and the other going to be filled with

flowers and plants.

My husband has hang them on the wall today.

I must do a hard work to fill bouth of them!

In the afthernoon i've made a strawberry plant...so the beginning is there (LOL)

Visit from friend's.....

Yesterday my friend Emma,who lives in Rotterdam,came to me with the train.

Afther a long yourney of 3 hours and 20 minutes see was there.

I piked her of the train station and drove her to my house.

Afther a cup of coffee and tea with an fresh muffin baked by my daughter,

we've given each other gifts.

Emma has made me a beautiful carpet that she has embroidered for me.

Look how beautiful it is;

I've forgot to take a photo of my gift to her...shame on me!

I gave Emma a little bear with a little knitted dress made by myself ofcourse ;-)

Afther the lunch my other friend Annet has arrived and the three of us we're going to visit

my fiend Sylvia .

Well Sylvia has created a very nice place outside in her beautiful garden.

Afther coffee and tea with an tompouce ?(a dutch delicasy)

We've had a look in the sevend heaven of Sylvia (LOL)

Afther a chat and drinks Emma has filled her bags with the most beautiful workshop packets from Sylvia

we've had to go home.

I've cooked spaghetti bolognese and we had ice cream with strawberry's and whipcream as dessert.

Than it was already time to bring Emma back to the train station,to bad it was time for her to go back home.

It was a very nice day,but much to short!

Next time i go over and visit Emma in Rotterdam......very soon :-)

What i use for soldering

I will show you what tools I use for soldering.

When you first see a small pliers including cutting pliers,

flat-jaw pliers in 2 different versions and a round mouth-tang.

In addition to the picture you see a bottle of acrylic paint from Aleen's,

which I use to make nice big round circles,

And an ordinary color pencil from the color-box of my youngest son.

That I use to make smaller circles.

I use solder paste (greas) and lead holding solder tin

(60 tin 40 lead)

then my tile with double sided carpet tape on it

I use an ordenairy soldering iron just a cheap one

i bought at a discount supermarket!

I use galvanized iron wire of various thicknesses.

You can also use copper wire for soldering.

And ......two hands to work with (LOL)

You most not let the solder iron fall on your hand like i did just a few minutes ago......

It realy hurtssssssssss!!!

Last year i have made for my mothers 65th birthday an arbor.

All the plants and flowers are made by myself.

And my mom was very surprised with it,se adors it.

I had bought 2 waxine-light holders

The waxine holders removed and a wooden-floor made in it

and here you can see that already a lot of flowers and plants are added

Voorlopig dus geen nieuwe miniaturen van mijn hand aangezien al mijn spullen ingepakt worden.

Beertje Annabelle

Er is weer een nieuw beertje bijgekomen!

Beertje Annabelle heb ik zelf gemaakt en ze is met schijfjes gemaakt!

Het was de eerste keer dat ik een schijven-beertje gemaakt heb,maar het viel me reuze mee.

Eindelijk heb ik een beertje waarvan zoweel de armen en benen ook het hoofd kan bewegen.

Sinterklaas-swap

Dit jaar heb ik mee gedaan aan de sinterklaasswap van het swap-forum.

En dit prachtige kadootje kreeg ik van mijn hulp-sinterklaas,ik wet nog niet wie dit moois voor mij gemaakt heeft het enige dat ik weet dat ze in Belgie woont,zag ik aan de poststempel;-)

In elk geval ben ik er heel erg blij mee en wil de maakster ervan heel erg bedanken hiervoor.

Beurs Peize

Afgelopen zondag was er weer de jaarlijkse poppenhuisbeurs van het Noorden te Peize.

Een hele leuke en gezellige beurs en dus moet je daar als Noorderling én poppenhuisliefhebber natuurlijk naar toe!

Op de onderste foto zie je aan de rechterkant nog net mijn zoon Jeffrey lopen

Met het blonde haar en zwart shirt met witte opdruk en een rood vest aan;-)

Ik werd dit jaar vergezeld door mijn jongste zoon Jeffrey en mijn vriendin Annet.

Vorig jaar had Jeffrey een sinterklaaspop besteld die dit jaar op de beur aan hem overhandigd zou worden.

Bij binnenkomst vloog Jeffrey dan ook richting de kraam waar hij zijn bestelling een jaar geleden gedaan heeft.

Even later kwam hij terug mét de fel begeerde sinterklaaspop,oooooh wat was ie trots op de pop!

De sinterklaaspop is dan ook erg mooi geworden en staat nu te pronken in het vitrinekastje boven de bank.

We hebben ons uitermate vermaakt en ook weer veel mensen gezien en gesproken

die ik via het kladblog en diverse fora ken.

Natuurlijk heb ik ook weer leuke aankopen gedaan en heb ik eindelijk de door mij felbegeerde glazen piek gevonden en gekocht!

Nu kunnen we weer even vooruit tot aan de beurs dien in februari in Drachten gehouden wordt;-)

Vandaag wil ik jullie voorstellen aan mijn lieve vriendin Sylvia Beuker.
Sylvia is een ras-echte miniaturiste in hart en nieren,het liefst is de de hele dag bezig met het maken en bedenken van de prachtigste miniaturen.
Ze staat bekend om haar prachtige Workshoppakketjes die ze helemaal zelf bedenkt,ontwerpt en uitvoerd!

De workshoppakketje zijn voorzien van een boekje met daarin een zeer duidelijke beschrijving en een prachtige foto van de workshop.Daarnaast zijn haar pakketjes voorzien van alle benodigde matrialen.
Dus je hoeft niet meer op zoek naar matrialen om de workshop te maken!
Een super uitkomst dus bovendien zijn alle workshops zeer betaalbaar en dus voor iedereen toegankelijk.

Workshopje Vloer-trekker

Ik heb een workshopje gemaakt voor het maken van een vloer-trekker;

Benodigheden:

Sateprikker van 3mm in doorsnee

kuipje van een waxine lichtje

speld met een metalen kop (dus NIET met de gekleurde bolletjes!)

2 stukjes zwart foam/rubber van 4,5 cm bij 4mm

sieradenlijm

liniaal

klein stukje schuurpapier

patina bruin kniptangetje/oude schaar

Pak de sateprikker en meet meet 9,5 cm af,knip het daar af.

schuur het bovenste uiteinde rond af.

knip voor de houder,waarin de steel komt,van het waxine-kuipje een reep van 12x12 mm

en vouw dat om het rechte uiteinde van de steel laat het een klein stukje uitsteken(de onderkant dus)en zet het vast met een tipje sieradenlijm.

Knijp het uiteinde plat met een tangetje.

Neem nu de speld en knip de kop er zo kort mogelijk er vanaf en lijm het ongeveer in het midden van het stukje aluminium wat je op de steel gelijmd hebt.

Knip een reep van 4,5cm bij 6mm van het waxine kuipje.

Vouw het in 3 repen van 2mm zodat er een u-vorm ontstaat.

Maak precies in het midden hiervan een klein gleufje,

waarin het platgeknepen deel van de steel in past.

Snij nu van het zwarte foam 2 reepjes van 4,5 cm bij 4 mm

en lijm ze in de u-vorm van de trekker.

Knijp eventueel het aluminium ietsje aan zodat ze mooi aansluiten.

Laat de lijm telkens goed drogen!

Als alles goed droog is neem je de patina en met behulp van een stukje keukenrol smeer je de steel in en wrijf het vervolgens meteen weer goed uit met een schoonstukje keukenrol.

Laat dit ook weer goed drogen.

Je vloertrekker is nu klaar voor gebruik

Veel plezier en sucses met de workshop!

Beertjes en geboortekoffertjes...

Gisteren ben ik bij vriendin Annet geweest om samen te knutselen.
We hadden van de week al besloten dat we miniatuur-beertjes zouden gaan maken.
Van Margriet v/d Zee heb ik begin dit jaar een pakketje toegestuurd gekregen om beertjes te maken.
Dit pakketje had ik nog steeds onaangeroerd op mijn hobbykamer liggen.....ik had niet de moed om eraan te beginnen.Vriendin Annet heeft in het verleden een aantal prachtige 1:1 beren gemaakt en dus vondt ik het een goed idee om samen met haar de miniatuurbeertjes van Margriet te gaan maken.
En voor een eerste keer vindt ik zelf dat het resultaat er best mag zijn;

Hallo bloggers!

Na een tijdje van julie blog te mogen genieten heb ik besloten om naast mijn ander blogs ook hier een account aan te maken.

Zodat ik jullie ook kan laten zien wat ik zelf allemaal maak .

Ik ben momenteel druk bezig om een Victoriaanse villa om te bouwen van bouwval naar een frans-brocante villa.

Daarbij wil ik zoveel moglijk zelf gaan maken

maar aangezien ik ook graag poppenhuisbeurzen mag afstruinen,

zal er natuurlijk ook het één en ander gekocht worden.

Verder hoop ik veel nieuwe ideen en tips en trics van andere bloggers op te doen .

Om ze vervolgens op mijn eigen wijze toe te passen in mijn Brocante Villa.

Ik wil jullie dan ook veel kijk plezier op mijn blog toewensen,

en hopelijk mag ik veel reacties van jullie ontvangen.

Zo zag de Villa eruit toen het in mijn bezit kwam.

En zo ziet de villa er op dit moment uit;
